This “sad but true” moment of the day is brought to you by hockey:
I make the girls I coach do “The Mountain Climber” at the end of each practice. Essentially it is doing 10 push ups and skate a length of the ice, 10 sit ups and a length of the ice, 10 mountain climbers and a length of the ice. You partner up so when you’re doing pushups your partner is skating a length - this gives you a time limit on how fast you get done the pushups, situps and mountain climbers.
It’s a hard drill, I did it for years.
After some razzing from the girls I agreed to partner up and complete it so that I could “see what they were going through” (to which my response was - get over it I’m the coach).
Holllyyy mother of God I’m sore today. My shoulders, hips, legs. Nothing gets you in shape quite like hockey, lol.
This morning consisted of a run, admiring my boots, and breakfast.
Kashi go lean reminds me of rabbit food. It’s good though. And you get more for less calories than other cereals. Score!
I mostly walked due to it being cold and windy (and due to me being a little bitch). I also changed out of those tights and wore lulu lemon pants instead. Although they’re like, almost loose in the waist I still can’t bring myself to leave the house in them. Goal. That’s a goal.
More of the “I’m actually trying to lose weight not posting instagram photos on my blog” attempts. I’ve had an increase in followers the last few weeks so I think this is the perfect way to introduce myself.

Today I:
In terms of exercise I’ve been so lazy. I woke up at 8am to do dishes, clean the bathroom, sweep and vacuum. It was awesome.
Then, I went for a run around my neighbourhood. The route I take is literally 5km from leaving the door of my building to getting back. SO perfect. I ran and walked and mostly enjoyed the morning. When I got back my dad was up and made coffee.
Eats:
I’m full and only sitting at 1,234 calories. Irritating.
7am: Wake up & breakfast
8:30am: Swim
10am: Work event
12pm: home for a nap.
well i WAS going to go for a run before work but its legit thunder and lightening outside.
…… so I slept until 9 and watched movies, woops
